Angkor wat trip - Day 3
We woke up early in the wanted to see the sunrise, again it was not what we have expected, also a disappointed morning.. and kind of wasted our effort. Haha! After breakfast we continue our visit to Preah Khan, Neek Pean, Ta Som then back to Angkor Wat in the afternoon. Angkor Wat also known as "Little Angkor", which was built by King Suryavarman II. The carvings are much more beautiful and detail as compared to Angkor Thom. This king was installed when he was 18 years old. Took him about 30 years to build Angkor Wat. All building and temple in Angkor area are stacks with big stones first then only start the carving works.
My camera battery was running out when i was at Angkor Wat 3rd level, too bad cannot take more photos at the highest point. As we are walking out from Angkor Wat, the rain starts...

thanks. i am using Canon IXUS 60. All the sunrise photos are taken with manual mode with the seting of ISO200, EV +2 and flash off, then the camera auto adjust the shutter speed. I know some of the photos i have taken is too high EV.

O_O ok... for climbing up... but how you get down !!
12/12/07 7:16 PM
no problem, there is another stair, which have smaller steps for ppl get down...

This is the stair for ppl to get down from level 3. We were told that this stair was built (sponsored) by a tourist after his wife passed away because of falling down from this stiff stair. It is just fit for one person to come down and have a small steel bar by the side for you to hold. Anyway, Cambodia government is considering to close the level 3 for tourist visiting.
