Taxi driver

It has been long time never update my blog... here i m come..

2 days ago I am sure everyone read about a group of Chinese students took taxi from Jalan Ampang to PJ and the fares are RM200 and RM250 (2 taxi).. wah! what a big joke, i guess this is happen everywhere in the world, when they know that you are foreigner they will cut cut you, big water fish is coming.

My experience with the taxi drivers are no good at all..

On 19th Nov, I took a cab to LCCT for biz trip to KK. The taxi driver ask me how much you normally pay for the trip from Sungai Long to LCCT? I replied around RM60 and he look like very very unhappy because he told me normally he collect RM70 from the passenger, along the journey he keep saying and remind me that he normally don't go according to the meter and just collect RM70!!! I just kept quite and listen to him.. Normally I book a taxi to airport, the charges is RM12 (surcharge) + RM1 (booking fees) + meter + one way toll. I paid RM60 for the trip is more then enough (the actual fee is about RM55). Why he has to ask for more? I found out the taxi NGV gas consumption is about 20KM per RM1, so is 5cents per KM, is really low. The RM12 surcharge is enough for them to cover the return trip.

Some of the taxi driver charge me 2 way tolls where they are only allow to charge me one way toll.. very sad why there are so many such ridiculous taxi driver on the road.

One night when I come back from KK, I took a cab from LCCT to sg long, the taxi driver fall asleep... it was raining the road very wet and he drove very slow.. so I keep talking to him, just want to keep him awake.. OMG.. thank god nothing happen..

In KK, I ask the hotel counter to call a taxi for me, so happen that morning all the hotel taxi already out and the hotel call a taxi from KK town, guess what the taxi driver start the meter from KK town by the time when the taxi reach the hotel the meter is about RM8, I ask the taxi driver when I paid him why the meter was turn on when I get into the taxi, he told me he is KK town taxi and the charges is start from KK town to hotel plus the fare to the destination.. !!! the taxi driver very unhappy because I ask about the fare !!! WHAT KIND TAXI DRIVER!!!
