Bangkok trip

Finally is a bit relax and free now, is time to write some thing about my trip to Bangkok recently.... oh.. first time in Bangkok.. so excited.. :D but... read on....

How to get there? by flight lor.. if you want, you can take train to Bangkok, but don't know how much and how long would it take. We took airasia, it cost about RM450 for return tickets, my friend even good.. he got free tickets which booked last year.. that is why we all are there in Bangkok.... there are 7 of us in this mini free and easy tour..

There are a lot of reasonable hotels in Bangkok, we booked Manhattan Hotel.. good location and very good for budget traveller is only USD29 for twin sharing room.. this hotel is located at Sukhumvit area and it is in between 2 skytrain stations also very near to MRT subway station, next to Asok skytrain station, there is departmental store, supermarket and money changer, you can exchange Thai baht with MYR but the exchange rate in KL is better then Bangkok, alternatively you can standby some USD. Basically there are a lot of money changer by the road side or in shopping complex.

Prior to the trip we have planned to go to various places, such as Grand Palace, Temple of Emerald Buddha, sleeping buddha and a lot more..  We are really disappointed with the local people because they told us the Palace is closed for meeting till 2pm, then ask you go to other places far away from this area... we have told by at least 4 person.. one of them claimed that he is teacher!!!! so we trusted what they have told us.. and we go some other place nearby and come back later.. when we come back .. they say not open yet... but my friend saw some tourist in the Palace .. then we walk to the main entrace and found out it is OPEN.. !!! not far from the entrance there is a signboard printed "Do not trust stranger, Grand Palace is open daily from .... " Oh no.. by the time we found out it is too late .. so we decided go back hotel and rest... anyone wanted to visit Bangkok, please be more careful a lot of cheating biz around you.

Thru out the whole trip, we took skytrain, subway and boats, it is very convenience and dont have to worry cheated by taxi drivers and tuk tuk drivers also. I was told tuk tuk in Bangkok also very bad.. they may bring u to no where..  so try to avoid them. From airport to hotel you must take taxi, we also got cheated by the taxi driver from airport to hotel @#$%^

Bangkok is a good place for shopping, food and massage.. MBK, siam square, night markets and etc... you may want to buy extra beg when come back home.. hahhaa.. trust me.. girls will loves that... wear sport shoe or something very comfortable.. very tire for walking in the shopping center.. night markets? is big... you cannot finish in one night.. hahha.. dun trust me? u try u know...

I was told by local that some of the pub are not safe, for all you know it could be another "black shop", crazy Bangkok.... this trip we only drink in a decent pub near our hotel.. enjoy german beer.. and look see look see...

On the last nite in Bangkok, we found a restaurant by the name of "Cabbages and Condoms"???? yes it is condom.... this restaurant is located at Soi 12 of Sukhumvit near our hotel also... I have taken lots of photo from this restaurant.. just check it out.. you find a lot of tourist in this restaurant.. the price of the food is a bit high but it is worth for trying..

Well, overall it is fun and nice to visit Bangkok.. We will definitely go back again... for food.. shopping and massage...
