Long holiday break..........

After a week of long break.. i feel so fresh.. but tire.. and very lazy to work.. aiiii... you know what???? the best part is when i read my office mailbox.. i found a piece of most hated info in my mailbox... RFP .... i need to do Bank Islam RFP..  no choice.. just do it and join the statistic.. (submit but no return) ..  this is part of our working life .. just to face it..

After I have finish the RFP, i will post some of my photos took during my recent trip.. and will share with u all my experience... mix of good n bad..

My first digital camera - Canon IXUS 40

Overall I am happy with this camera, HOWEVER.... read on.......


1) The battery indicator is not show until it is almost finish. This is very inconvenience because I do not know when the battery is low and it is not possible to bring the battery charger with me when I am outside (out of hotel or house). As result to this, I will missed a lot of photos shots. If you can make the battery indicator available, at least I can know the usage level and will charge the battery when is near low limit.

2) The preview function is very inconvenience, I have to use the mode selector to switch between rec mode and preview mode. It would be nice if I can press a button to toggle between camera mode and preview mode, most of the cameras in the market already have this function. I think the current design of the camera is able to achieve this function, because the direct print button is not use when the camera is not attached with USB cable or in camera mode, so use this button for dual function ie. Direct Print or Preview function.

3) The mode selector design is not good, I have to switch it through video mode then only come to preview mode, meaning "Preview--Video--Camera", the selector should be "Video--Preview--Camera", ask yourself, how often you will use this camera for shooting a video? This is photo camera not video camera!

4) I got a free metal strap when I purchase this camera. This metal strap is not usable or it is not user friendly, because the flexible ring is so small that the metal strap cannot pass through. I have called the local canon office and spoken to the sales exec and he told me that this is the only metal strap, to install it I have to apply a bit of force and once it is installed, it is not easy to take out. I have tried it, but not success and the metal straps is broken. I am puzzling when the product people who design this strap have he/she try to use the metal strap first? If the flexible ring is bigger or longer, all problems solved. Why no one is complaining about the metal strap?

I really think that Canon really have to enhance it, what you all say?
